What I Do

At Bunny Bakes, I focus on using mostly organic ingredients wherever possible, because I believe simple, thoughtful baking creates the best flavour.

My menu brings together a mix of comforting classics and freshly baked favourites. I make a range of yeast-free breads, including traditional Irish soda bread, as well as soft yeasted options like burger buns and pittas. You’ll also find an assortment of sweet treats—scones, cookies, cakes, and other little bakes that bring a bit of joy to each day.

All of the items on my menu are available to order, while only some of them will be found in the Honesty Box each week.

Everything is made in small batches with care, attention, and a genuine love for baking. Whether you’re looking for a rustic loaf, something sweet, or a custom creation, I’m always happy to help you find (or create) exactly what you’re craving.

Please note that even though there is an "online shop", online orders are unavailable at the moment so it is only a place for you to browse and choose. Ordering is done via email, whatsapp or phone call for the time being.

Breads

My Irish soda bread is a simple, rustic loaf made without yeast, relying instead on baking soda to rise. It has a tender, hearty crumb with a subtle tang from buttermilk and a wonderfully golden, slightly crisp crust.

Every week, you’ll find a plain soda bread in my Honesty Box, alongside an additional flavoured loaf that changes each week.

For made-to-order, you can choose from hite flour, whole wheat flour or spelt flour as well as vegan or dairy buttermilk.

Soft Breads

My soft breads are all about gentle texture and everyday comfort. They’re made with either yeast or baking powder, depending on the style, and each bake is crafted to be light, tender, and versatile.

I offer gently sweet, pillowy burger buns; soft, pocketed pittas perfect for filling or dipping; and fluffy scones with a delicate crumb. Each batch is made with care, bringing fresh, comforting simplicity to everyday eating

All can be made vegan and with your choice of flour.

Savoury Treats

I also offer a selection of savoury bakes, including soft, fragrant focaccias topped with a variety of seasonal flavours, as well as hearty savoury pies available in both vegan and non-vegan options. You’ll often find these in the Honesty Box, with flavours changing week by week. If you have specific preferences or dietary needs, you’re always welcome to get in touch so we can find the perfect savoury treat for you.

Sweet Treats

I offer a small but lovingly made selection of sweet treats, including cookies in a range of flavours, muffins, soft cakes, and cosy, comforting pies. You can find all of them in my honesty box, with flavours changing every week. Some cookies and cakes can be made vegan, though not all—if you have specific requirements, please feel free to get in touch and I’ll be happy to help.

Cakes and Muffins

I offer a variety of cakes, pies, tarts and cupcakes, available in many flavours and made with your choice of white, wholewheat, or spelt flour. Many can be made vegan or non-vegan to suit your needs. I have a list of standard flavours and styles I’ve made before, but you’re also very welcome to bring your own ideas and we can create something unique together.

Cakes are usually made to serve 8-10 people, though I may be able to make larger or smaller versions depending on the type of cake chosen. Cupcakes are typically arranged in batches of 6, but I’m happy to adjust the number to suit you, depending on flavour.

Most of my cakes are made in a rustic style, combining professional techniques with a warm, homemade look. I use subtle decoration to create simple yet striking results.
