Here’s the menu for this weekend, woohoo!! 🥳 🙌🏼

The Carrot Cake js back for a few weeks, and this time it will be alongside a delicious London Fog Cake. An Early Grey Cake, soaked in milky Earl Grey Tea with a tangy Buttercream. Don’t let the strange flavours deter you, it is absolutely delightful! 🤩

The gluten-free tart this week is Strawberries and Cream Frangipane. Strawberry Frangipane base with a Chantilly cream.

Everything else remains the same! Quiche flavours will change next week, so stay tuned 😉.

We start with the amazing Summer Berry 🍓 Victoria Sponge. Last time was made with ink Blackberries, this time I’m also adding Strawberries and Raspberries to the jam. And as last time, a vanilla Mascarpone Cream. Fluffy and delicious!
Classic Carrot Cake with Orange 🍊 Cream Cheese frosting 😋
And lastly a Raspberry Frangipane tart with Crème Chantilly. I am loving adding vanilla cream to the Frangipane tarts. It offsets the sweetness and adds a dairy element that just pairs so well with the Almonds 🤩

As your savoury option I’m bringing Quiche back once more, this time with two vegetarian flavours: classic Italian with Tomato 🍅 , Mozzarella and Basil. And a bit more French inspired with Courgette, Goats Cheese and Thyme. They both speak of summers at the beach with my family, so I thought I’d share them with you 🥰

And finally, the Ginger and Lemon cookies will now be just Lemon 🍋 for a couple weeks before moving on to a more middle eastern flavour. But that flavour is a secret 🤫. Can’t say more right now.

Bunny Bakes is going to a wedding this weekend! Which means I am effectively fully booked and custom orders are now *Closed* (for this week).
Also, the honesty box will have a reduced menu, only for this weekend. Less options, but just as tasty!

The cakes will be classic Lemon Drizzle squares with crunchy Lemon Sugar and candied Lemon Peel; Strawberry Frangipane tarts and various cake pops.
There will only be vegan Cinnamon Rolls (back to regular/vegan next week).

And for the savoury option, this week I am making individual Quiches, one vegetarian and one meat. Quiche is something very hard to make plant-based, so as a vegan option I will make a couple of Hummus and roast Veg Focaccias.

Everything will be back to normal from Monday 25th!

Throwback to 2016 when I used to make decorated sugar cookies. They were such a time consuming thing but so worth it in the end!

My dad used to paint watercolours and he taught me at a very young age. I have since been in love with painting, and even the decorations in our house are all made by me. So when I discovered I could paint on royal icing with the same techniques as watercolour I was overjoyed! Combining art and food? My ultimate dream!!! I got to play with different themes, colour palettes, textures…

I am thinking about bringing these back. What do you guys think? Is this something you guys would want?

Have you ever had a blackberry Victoria sponge before? It’s just like the classic one but with blackberries instead of strawberries. And I decided to make a light mascarpone cream instead of just whipped cream for that elevated flavour 🤩🤩🤩

Cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting, vegan cinnamon rolls with or without frosting, focaccia sandwiches cake pops… I think this is the fullest the box has been since I first opened 😋

First we start with a delightful place in Errol called @mainsoferrolfruitshack where you can find anything you might imagine about strawberries: strabwerry fields as far as the eye can see, home-made strawberry jam and strawberry cakes (courtesy of yours truly) and even strawberry gelato made to order with fresh strawberries!!! And pretty soon soon you’ll be able to pick your own too!

Secondly, this amazing cafe in Dundee called @sookkitchen_ that opened last year and serves the most kick-ass lunch I’ve ever had. The salad bar, the focaccias, the choices, the coffeeee 🤩🤩🤩 and of course, some cakes by yours truly as well 🥰

Honorable mention is the humble #honestybox in Abernyte, filled with the most decadent cakes and focaccia sandwiches. Open 9am to 8pm Saturday and Sunday. Potentially Friday too in the coming weeks 😉

One of the perks of living in the middle of nowhere, is that I get to open my honesty box while still wearing my PJ’s on a Sunday morning, while enjoying some of the most breathtaking views 🤩🤩🤩

Scotland is such a beautiful country full of little hills and valleys like this one and I am so grateful every day that I get to enjoy a little of it ❤️

The other perk is being able to Eat some delicious cakes, *while* enjoying the views 😝 which is what you can do too Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 8pm while the box is open!!

Today’s treats are so delicious!! I made pecan and maple buns like last week, but this time there is an option with cream cheese frosting! Yummm 😋

The focaccias are a bit bigger than usual, they are quite filling so do share if you can 👌

And that lemon cake… 🤩🤩🤩 I think I just fell in love all over again! Fluffy lemon sponge, sweet white chocolate ganache, lemon zest, crushed blueberries and whipped white chocolate mousse 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 to die for.

Here is this weekend’s menu! Simple yet effective.

I am experimenting with some techniques to elevate classic recipes like this week’s Victoria Sponge. Instead of plain whipped cream or buttercream, I am making a creme diplomat. Which is basically an elevated version of a pastry cream meets creme chantilly. Paired with homemade strawberry jam and fresh strawberries, I think it is going to be delightful!

This week’s rolls are very interesting too. Toasted pecan nuts with a maple butter filling… a bit too autumnal but I can never resist a good pecan/maple combo no matter the time of year! 🤩

As for the focaccias, I am super excited about this week’s filling. I found an amazing truffle cheese at the shops the other day and decided that I absolutely *HAVE* to make a mushroom and truffle combo for you guys to try 🤩 there will be a vegetarian option with just the mushrooms and cheese as well as a fun option with Honey Roasted Ham.
